Bio

Amelia graduated from Duke University with a bachelor of science in neuroscience and a minor in chemistry. She worked as an EMT in both urban and rural communities where she developed strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments. At Duke, she served as the head field training officer for her campus EMS squad, mentoring students in both academic and clinical settings. She also has extensive teaching experience as a peer tutor and orientation leader.

As an MCAT tutor, Amelia tailors each session to her students’ unique learning styles, helping them break down complex topics, build lasting confidence, and master both content and timing. Her sessions prioritize strategy, encouragement, and active engagement to make MCAT prep more manageable and rewarding. She also emphasizes balance and sustainability during what can be a high-stress period of preparation.
