Bio

Dr. Banich graduated Magna cum laude from University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana with degrees in English and Biology and cum laude from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed her internship at University of Chicago and her residency in ophthalmology at Loyola University Chicago. Dr. Banich went on to work with medical students and residents at Loyola and is currently practicing ophthalmology in Colorado. She has worked with medical students at the University of Colorado teaching their hidden curriculum course for third and fourth year medical students and has coached current physicians in mindfulness and work-life balance.
