Originally hailing from southeastern Massachusetts, Carma Van Allen completed her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at Brown University and her master’s degree in higher education administration at the University of Michigan. Carma’s previous professional experience includes working in undergraduate academic advising and with various non-profit organizations focused on counseling, mentoring, and supporting students throughout their academic journeys. She has a particular interest in issues of diversity and inclusion in higher education. In her role as Associate Director of MCAT Student Success, Carma works extensively with our MCAT and college advising students, as well as their parents, to ensure a smooth journey throughout the tutoring and advising process. Outside of work, Carma enjoys exercising, reading, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family. She currently lives in South Orange, New Jersey, with her husband, two sons, and two cats.
