Collin was born and raised on Long Island. He graduated with honors from Tufts University where he studied biochemistry and Spanish. During his time at Tufts, he captained the cross-country team, led recitations in Spanish and chemistry, and volunteered as an EMT on campus. He has a passion for global medicine, having spent time in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria and providing medical translation alongside missionaries in Nicaragua. After graduating, he matriculated directly to Tufts University School of Medicine.
In medical school, Collin adapted quickly by building habits centered on spaced repetition. He took pride in mentoring younger students, helping them enjoy their time in the classroom and on the wards. Noticing how many shared the same struggles using Anki, he partnered with two classmates to understand Anki utilization patterns. After passing Step 1, he went on to score a 267 on Step 2.
Now a fourth-year medical student, Collin is applying to family medicine. While he explored other specialties, his passion for underserved medicine, commitment to preventative care, and love of Spanish and medical translation made family medicine the clear choice. He is particularly interested in medical education and hopes to adapt it to the modern age.
