Dr. Halpern graduated from NYITCOM in 2022 with a background in neuroscience and extensive experience in research, volunteer service, and academic achievement. Following his passion into orthopedic surgery, he also mentors students on their board exams.

Bio

Dr. Halpren was born and raised on Long Island. He attended the University of Michigan, graduating with honors with a degree in neuroscience. After college, he returned to New York to work in EMS before enrolling in medical school.

Throughout medical school at NYITCOM, Rob became involved with research on surgery, anatomy, and biomechanics. He has a passion for helping others through volunteer service and student mentorship.

While at NYITCOM, Dr. Halpren scored within the 97th to 99th percentile on all his Step, COMLEX, and COMAT exams. He achieved honors in his preclinical and clinical clerkships, ranking within the top five percent of his class. During his third year of medical school, he was inducted into the SSP honor society in recognition of his academic achievement and commitment to volunteer service.

Dr. Halpren graduated and looks forward to a long career in orthopedic surgery. He believes all students can conquer their exams with the right strategy and resources. In his free time, he enjoys lifting, cooking, and family adventures.
