Dr. Jones graduated Magna Cum Laude from Youngstown State University with a BS in Biology after only 2 years, as a part of B.S./M.D. program. He matriculated into medical school attending Northeast Ohio Medical University. During surgical residency he served on the Northeast Ohio Medical University Admissions Committee for 5 years.
During this time he interviewed hundreds of prospective medical students and reviewed hundreds of applications. After residency, Dr. Jones completed additional surgical training in New Jersey at The Blumenthal Cancer Center/Valley Hospital, in the field of Minimally Invasive Surgery/Advanced GI Surgery. He is now a Board Certified General Surgeon and works as an Acute Care Surgeon in the Tampa Bay area.
