Melissa graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a major in Women Gender and Sexuality Studies and a minor in Sociology. Since graduating she has been working and training at the Washington University School of Medicine as a National Institute of Mental Health Diversity Supplement Scholar and has published and presented on mental health disparities. Her background gives her depth and context for the Psychological, Social and Biological Foundation of Behavior section of the MCAT and she also particularly enjoys tutoring for the Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills section.
Melissa has experience as a teaching assistant during undergraduate and has mentored several undergraduate students during her time doing research at the school of medicine. Melissa is passionate about helping students build personalized study skills and a deep understanding of material to help them on the MCAT and throughout their journeys in medicine.
