Bio

Dr. Rao graduated from the University of California, Davis in Davis, California, with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, where he was involved with peer advising at both the departmental and college level. He then moved to Michigan and received his master’s degree and PhD in biomedical engineering at the University of Michigan. He completed his pediatrics residency at the University of California, Los Angels (UCLA) and is now a fellow in pediatric hematology-oncology at Stanford. In addition to teaching medical students and residents, Dr. Rao also mentors undergraduate students at Stanford University through their path to medical school.
